A single copper figure stands beneath the weight of everything. Other figures press down from above, some reaching, some pulling, some simply there in the way that the people and expectations we love and carry tend to be. Family. Relationships. Obligations. The social standards that were never asked for. The grief that showed up uninvited. The stress that moved in and never left.
And yet you are still is standing.
Not because the weight got lighter. Not because someone came to help. But because that is what we do. We find a way to hold all of it, the beautiful and the unbearable together, and we keep going. The posture is not heroic, it’s just honest. This is what a person looks like when they are doing the hard, and choosing to carry on anyway.
The sculpture sits on a hand-finished, oil-rubbed walnut base with a custom copper stand. A small copper nameplate on the stand displays K Perrault and the year.
