A line of figures face a single one standing apart. Behind him, a pile of decisions have been made. The choice to step toward someone or something, after all of this, is its own kind of survival. Hope lives in the step, not the certainty.

The sculpture sits on a hand-finished, oil-rubbed walnut base with a custom copper stand. A small copper nameplate on the stand displays the initials KPerrault and the year.
