Two worlds occupy the same space. A copper figure stands stoically in the desert above, while below, suspended in a crystal cave, a diver looks up. Their eyes lock, finding each other across impossible distance, between earth and water. Some connections don’t care about logic or how they got there, they only care about love.

This piece began as a commission, handed to me as a challenge. Two people from completely different worlds finding each other. I loved every minute of figuring out how to make that work. Some of the best work comes from someone handing you a problem you don’t know how to solve.

The sculpture sits on a hand-finished, oil-rubbed walnut base with a custom copper stand. A small copper nameplate on the stand displays the initials KPerrault and the year.
