A group of figures gathers around a low fire, framed by stone above and below in a way that feels almost geological, as if the moment has been pressed into the fossil record. Their stillness hovers between ritual and rest, between past and present. There is a sense that this scene has unfolded countless times before, carried forward without interruption through each generation. An unbroken chain stretches from the dawn of time to the present, a lineage so fragile that if a single link had failed, you would not exist.
The sculpture sits on a hand-finished, oil-rubbed walnut base with a custom copper stand. A small copper nameplate on the stand displays K Perrault and the year.
