A single astronaut floats above a rugged piece of lava rock, its dark, porous surface resembling the terrain of an alien world. Suspended in midair, the figure feels both alone and curious—caught between exploration and reflection. This sculpture plays with scale and setting to capture the wonder of venturing into the unknown.

The sculpture sits on a hand-finished, oil-rubbed walnut base with a custom copper stand. A small copper nameplate on the stand displays the initials GG and the year.
